In this time of microwave fads, doing any one thing for 20 years is rare. This is amplified in this thing called the music business, but that is precisely why we are here.
Underground Detroit hip hop legends, and childhood friends & collaborators of storied producer J Dilla, Frank N Dank are in full celebration mode.
It starts now, with the release of the official lyric video for “Filter” featuring Affion Crockett; a soulful banger produced by King Michael Coy, and thats just the beginning.
“Filter” serves as the first single from Frank N Dank’s all new LP project St. Louis.
St. Louis is the name of the street where Dank’s childhood home rests, but is also the place where Frank, Dank and Dilla would meet. It is the place where all the homies came to catch a minute with the “Cakeboys”. In short, it represents home.
St.Louis is built on a solid foundation of beats rhymes and life. With features from B-Real (Cypress Hill), T3 (Slum Village), Bumpy Knuckles, Illa J, Botni Applebum, production by the aforementioned King Michael Coy, ToneMason, plus the first FnD studio song produced by J Dilla, St. Louis is sure to be worth the price of admission!
Coming in April 2019.
