Jamaican vocalist Lila Iké puts a fresh, romantic spin on vintage rub-a-dub reggae with her latest single, “Second Chance,” out now on all streaming platforms. The video for “Second Chance” premiered today via Complex.

“Second Chance” is the second collaborative release from reggae star Protoje’s In.Digg.Nation Collective and Delicious Vinyl Island, the new Caribbean music imprint from iconic rap label Delicious Vinyl, and follows last week’s drop of Sevana’s soulful summer bop, “Sometime Love.”

“I wanted to highlight a different side of a love situation,” Iké says of “Second Chance,” which was produced by Alfred Simpson for Safire Music. “Men aren’t always the problem, and nothing is wrong with asking for a second chance! Especially now that finding a good partner is so rare… if you have one, fight for him!”

Lila Iké makes her international performance debut tonight at Uppsala Festival in Sweden. Audiences on the U.S. West Coast will have an opportunity to get familiar with Lila Iké later this summer when she appears on select dates of Protoje’s A Matter of Time tour, kicking off Aug. 30 in Santa Cruz, California.
